Thank You All

Just a quick one here. We have an online petition on the corner of the main page of this web site (click "Home" at the top of this page to go there). You can click on it and submit your signature electronically. We get an email every time somebody signs it.

Well, I don't know what's going on, but for about the past week this thing has been going crazy. I don't have time to count them, but there have been dozens of petition signatures this week, mainly from Bethesda and Chevy Chase, but also from other parts of the county.

And thankyou thankyou thankyou to all the good people who support this important cause.

Maybe we have to thank the CRC pres- posting about her "Meeting" on PTA listserves- just a reminder to people to stand up against gay bashing and ignorance.

Excerpt from CNN 6/05

MICHELLE TURNER, CITIZENS FOR RESPONSIBLE CURRICULUM: We are concerned that it is being introduced into the schools as an indoctrination, and we feel that that does not adequately represent all the parents here that are sending their kids to the school.

and

She calls the condom video silly and inaccurate and says the course might promote promiscuity and experimentation with homosexuality.
***************

These kinds of statements are what makes people stand up and say no to bigotry and hate promoted from groups like CRC and their pres.

No health class information makes anyone gay. Next we will be hearing that Michelle's cousin who is gay got that way from hearing about this in a health class.

"Well, I don't know what's going on"

Maybe the gang of eight that frequents this site and your family members got together and decided you needed a morale booster.

Anonymous is bothered....Good..

CRC has been shown over and over misrepresenting what was proposed in the curriculum, etc. and that goes to their officers, etc., saying things like:

In press:
Garza called the revised sex-ed curriculum an "indoctrination program."

or

Steve Fisher going on WAVA and sayingt to all.."the old curriculum was just fine and go back to that..."

or Michelle Turner saying:

"I think if we allow the liberal sex education program to happen, we will see the end of families and it will serve a tremendous blow to society.

But yet none of these individuals have had their children in the sex ed portion and two (Fisher and Garza) do not even have children in the system.

Kay,
Anon watches a lot of TV so he thinks everything is a case or a mystery or a conspiracy - that can be solved in 48 minutes. He also can't use his name because he thinks he is in "danger"-maybe Ruth Jacobs can address paranoia next time she entertains the BOE.
