Front Page Headline

The Washington Post -- you just can't get any more balanced that this.

Here's what you got on our front porch this morning. Front page headline today, below the fold:
Democrats' ethical lapses could imperil hold on power

Online they changed it for their more sophisticated Internet readers: Massa resigns; Democrats' ethical lapses could threaten hold on power

Yeah, those Democrats are so unethical... I'm so glad I pay to get this newspaper delivered to my house. It is so informative.

one problem is Democrites don't have their sights set very high:

"Harry Reid got up on the Senate floor Friday afternoon to take a shot at his Republicans antagonists. Reacting to Labor Department figures that showed the jobless rate unchanged in February, Reid first said, "Today is a big day in America, only 36,000 people lost their jobs today, which is really good.""

great, Harry

kind of like Obama saying he will cut the deficit by the end of his first term

yeah, shouldn't be hard when it's a trillion and a half this year

people, we need to try a new group of leaders

Oh yes, that disgusting headline about VA was right next to the inspiring headline about DC.

Virginia backtracks to re-legalize discrimination on college campuses while DC moves forward to empower poor women to protect themselves!

Shame on Virginia

Yay DC!!!

Is it the job of government to pass out free condoms?

If so, I guess it's nice to give out the female version.

Unfortunately, however, in the midst of a ghastly epidemic, D.C. has now started recognizing relationships that exacerbate that epidemic.

yeah, great

Meanwhile, Virginia will not expend time and energy and taxpayer resources making sexual deviance a special protected behavior.

good contrast

I seem to recall the Anones praising Bush's ABC program in Africa, which is still handing out millions of free condoms to non-US citizens. Do you think only Africans should get free condoms from the US government?

It is the job of the government to provide for the public safety. Condom distribution programs have been shown to reduce the incidence of HIV, other STDs and unplanned pregnancy. With the steadily rising HIV rates among women, DC is very wise to empower its female residents with the ability to protect themselves.

The Simon Johnson piece is interesting, but wrong. Everyone knows that Obama is looking out for each and every one of God's creatures and it's the GOP who is most concerned with their own prospects for reelection. Their hopes for reelection is why the GOP has refused to govern and instead is trying to sell their lockstep decision to "just say no" to every idea Obama has as his failure to act. We see through that ruse; it's the GOPs failure to participate that's the problem. Obama has acted boldly and wisely as the GOP has dithered. For example, we've gone from losing 700,000 jobs a month as the Bush Presidency ended in late 2008 to losing just over 5% of that -- 36,000 jobs were lost in February 2010.

Drinking OJ reduces the incidence of disease too.

Should the government pass out OJ?

Or is sexual immorality the only behavior that government should protect?

btw, kids, the Obama administration doesn't really want the Dems to retain Congress

Barry thinks his job will be more secure in 2012 if the Repubs take Congress in 2010

Who could ever be opposed to the government passing out free OJ? What a wonderful idea!!

yes, as a matter of fact, who could oppose the government giving out free stuff?

except for people who'd rather the government return the tax money they'd use to buy it and let people decide for themselves what kind of juice to buy

Greenland is getting warm

maybe we could send all our liberals there to experiment with this type of government where the state owns everything and gives you everything

maybe it would work

oh that's right

Russia tried it for decades

it wasn't pretty

Your knowledge of the history of Russia is, to say the least, very uninformed, if not downright stupid "Anonymous". But then, no one has ever accused you of being intellectually honest and informed...just another lip-syncher of the tea-bagger ilk.
