The CAC Met

The MCPS citizens advisory committee met last night. Looks like a good group of people. Very interesting feeling in the room, all know that the situation is controversial, but it seems most are intent on working something out. The group spent a lot of time hashing over definitions of quorums and majorities and procedures for making decisions.

It is understood that there might not be consensus on everything, maybe not on anything. Of course it's nice when two sides can negotiate and compromise until they come to an agreement that everyone accepts, and I hope that happens. But we can't start out expecting it. The previous citizens advisory committee had a stubborn minority who ended up being outvoted and then using the courts to force their way, invalidating the entire idea of having a citizens committee.

The committee is in a holding pattern until the school system produces a curriculum to review. Well, they seem like nice folks, raring to go. I hope the school district gets a curriculum to look at soon.

Think about it, morons. Why would CRC want a seat? The Board has already stacked the committee so the result is a foregone conclusion. They can find out what went on anyway. Having a vote really is no advantage.

Well "moron" ask Michelle Turner and Peter Sprigg/PFOX why they are whining so much all over the place at NOT HAVING A SEAT for CRC.

Maybe because the Board has played into their hand and so they want to make sure people know the "citizen's" committee doesn't represent the citizens. Again, what would a token vote get them? and what does keeping them out get the Board? That's why you're blubbering- you know the Board blew it again.

Well CRC is the one whining...not BOE. Peter Sprigg did not have a problem accepting his seat on CAC and leaving CRC in his and PFOX's dust.

Go back and read the article ...Jim was superb in his interview with Jon Ward who by the was tripped up by Jim not falling for Jon's real agenda. Jon had to resort to blog read as if we do not already know he and his CRC/PFOX friends read it and even post here as part of the Third Group to disrupt.

Good...

Now even Jon Ward will have to acknowledge there are large number of citizens in MC who will not tolerate homophobic bigotry and intolerance and any teaching of that to our children in schools via CRC/PFOX agendas.

You know, Kay and Jim are acting positively Nixonian here. Acting reporters who simply told the public the truth. Thank heaven for freedom of the press.

Poor, poor Jim. He just wants to insult people and not have anyone respond. If only he could talk and no one else say anything. What a cruel, cruel world this is.
