No, It Is Real News

Trump is calling the story about the intelligence dossier on him "fake news," and that is interesting. It's incredible, actually.

The story is not that he hired prostitutes to urinate for him and is probably being blackmailed by the Russians -- that information is not verified. "Women Pee for Trump in Hotel Room" is not a headline in any newspaper. It might be true but journalists are not sure, so they are not publishing that as a news story.

The story is that top people in the government, both in Congress and the intelligence community, think the dossier is worrisome enough, it looks real enough, to brief the President of the United States -- the real President who is in office now -- as well as the President-elect and top members of Congress about it.

Take something like "Obama is the founder of ISIS," or "Hillary is a crook, lock her up." Those are lies. Obama is not the founder of ISIS, and Hillary has never been charged with breaking any law, even though every minute of her life has been dragged out in investigations and questioned.

Compare that to "Intelligence officials briefed the President and Congressional leaders about possible blackmail, sex tapes, and treason." This is a true statement. "Trump hired prositutes to pee for him" might not be true, I don't know. "Trump is being blackmailed by the Russians," again, I don't know, I don't think anybody is saying these things are true. In fact, every source I have seen has been very careful to say the statements are "unverified." Journalists have had this dossier since October at least, and they let it go right through the election with almost no mention -- certainly no mention of what the dossier said. David Corn had a story in October about some intelligence, and Harry Reid asked the FBI in a public statement to release "explosive information about close ties and co-ordination between Donald Trump, his top advisers, and the Russian government - a foreign interest openly hostile to the United States, which Mr Trump praises at every opportunity." But he didn't say anything about golden showers or blackmail -- he had seen this report by that time and still didn't spill its contents, even though American voters needed to know there was serious evidence that their Presidential candidate is a traitor.

The thing is, we don't know if Trump hired ladies to urinate in a hotel room for him, or whether the Russians actually have dirt on him, but we do know that the allegations looked like the real thing to people in the intelligence business who know what the real thing looks like. And that is news. It is not fake news, even if the story reports what was in the dossier, this is not Elvis Has Alien Twin, this is an actual document that has people in the top of government very worried.

In time, America is not going to react well when they find out that the FBI kept this secret while they went out to the TV cameras to say that Anthony Wiener has email they haven't seen yet, that might be connected to Hillary. If it turns out we elected a traitor and the insiders knew and helped sabotage his opponent, it will not be good.

Michelle…Michelle LaVaughn Robinson of the South Side…for the past 25 years you have not only been my wife and mother of my children, you have been my best friend. You took on a role you didn’t ask for. And you made it your own with grace and with grit and with style, and good humor. You made the White House a place that belongs to everybody. And a new generation sets its sights higher because it has you as a role model. You have made me proud, and you have made the country proud.

Malia and Sasha…under the strangest of circumstances you have become two amazing young women. You are smart and you are beautiful. But more importantly, you are kind and you are thoughtful and you are full of passion. … you wore the burden of years in the spotlight so easily. Of all that I have done in my life, I am most proud to be your dad.

–President Obama, from his farewell address, January 10, 2017

And to all the women, and especially the young women, who put their faith in this campaign and in me, I want you to know that nothing has made me prouder than to be your champion.

Now, I — I know — I know we have still not shattered that highest and hardest glass ceiling, but some day someone will and hopefully sooner than we might think right now.

And — and to all the little girls who are watching this, never doubt that you are valuable and powerful and deserving of every chance and opportunity in the world to pursue and achieve your own dreams.

Former MI6 agent Christopher Steele's frustration as FBI sat on Donald Trump Russia file for months
Exclusive: Steele was so concerned by revelations he worked without payment after Trump's election victory in November

"Christopher Steele, the former MI6 agent who investigated Donald Trump’s alleged Kremlin links, was so worried by what he was discovering that at the end he was working without pay, The Independent has learned.

Mr Steele also decided to pass on information to both British and American intelligence officials after concluding that such material should not just be in the hands of political opponents of Mr Trump, who had hired his services, but was a matter of national security for both countries.

However, say security sources, Mr Steele became increasingly frustrated that the FBI was failing to take action on the intelligence from others as well as him. He came to believe there was a cover-up, that a cabal within the Bureau blocked a thorough inquiry into Mr Trump, focusing instead on the investigation into Hillary Clinton’s emails.

It is believed that a colleague of Mr Steele in Washington, Glenn Simpson, a former Wall Street Journal reporter who runs the firm Fusion GPS, felt the same way and, at the end also continued with the Trump case without being paid.

Fusion GPS had been hired by Republican opponents of Mr Trump in September 2015. In June 2016 Mr Steele came on the team. He was, and continues to be, highly regarded in the intelligence world. In July, Mr Trump won the Republican nomination and the Democrats became new employers of Mr Steele and Fusion GPS.

In the same month Mr Steele produced a memo, which went to the FBI, stating that Mr Trump’s campaign team had agreed to a Russian request to dilute attention on Moscow’s intervention in Ukraine. Four days later Mr Trump stated that he would recognise Moscow’s annexation of Crimea. A month later officials involved in his campaign asked the Republican party’s election platform to remove a pledge for military assistance to the Ukrainian government against separatist rebels in the east of the country.

Mr Steele claimed that the Trump campaign was taking this path because it was aware that the Russians were hacking Democratic Party emails. No evidence of this has been made public, but the same day that Mr Trump spoke about Crimea he called on the Kremlin to hack Hillary Clinton’s emails.

By late July and early August MI6 was also receiving information about Mr Trump. By September, information to the FBI began to grow in volume: Mr Steele compiled a set of his memos into one document and passed it to his contacts at the FBI. But there seemed to be little progress in a proper inquiry into Mr Trump. The Bureau, instead, seemed to be devoting their resources in the pursuit of Hillary Clinton’s email transgressions.

The New York office, in particular, appeared to be on a crusade against Ms Clinton. Some of its agents had a long working relationship with Rudy Giuliani, by then a member of the Trump campaign, since his days as public prosecutor and then Mayor of the city.

As the election approached, FBI director James Comey made public his bombshell letter saying that Ms Clinton would face another email investigation. Two days before that Mr Giuliani, then a part of the Trump team, talked about “a surprise or two you’re going to hear about in the next few days. We’ve got a couple of things up our sleeve that should turn things around”..."

actually, around this time the FBI director gave Hillary's campaign new life by recommending she not be prosecuted for her blatant crimes

they dropped the investigation into her emails until new emails of hers were discovered on the laptop of pervert Democrat Anthony Weiner who was being investigated for exposing himself to underage girls

Anon, you don't seem to know the word "cabal," so let me explain. The FBI Director is not a "cabal within the Bureau," he is one person. He had to announce there would be no charges because, despite your false allegation, no crime had been committed. He has to work with the Attorney General and the Justice Department lawyers, and they advised him that even though you don't like pants suits and shrill nasty women, you can't charge her with a federal crime.

She might not have followed best IT practice but she is not "crooked Hillary," she is a lifelong public servant who made a choice regarding information technology that turned out to go against current opinion of the cybersecurity community.

There were reports at the time that a group of FBI officers in New York, loyal to Rudy Giuliani, were insisting on charging her with something, and obviously the Director wanted to aid the Russians and undermine the Clinton campaign, but there was nothing to charge her with. The fact that there was conflict within the FBI, with agents supporting the Russian agenda trying to focus negative attention on Hillary Clinton, was well-known, even as these events unfolded.

"The FBI Director ... had to announce there would be no charges because, despite your false allegation, no crime had been committed"

you're lying

he pointedly said she did commit crimes but that he doesn't feel they should be prosecuted in the current "context" - namely, that she was the presidential nominee of a major party

scores of individuals have committed similar crimes and been prosecuted and convicted but they didn't have her connections

actually, the Clinton Foundation was much worse but that investigation is apparently still ongoing

"He has to work with the Attorney General and the Justice Department lawyers, and they advised him ... you can't charge her with a federal crime."

you're lying

the corrupt attorney general was planning to announce no charges, which is her job, but she had to have Comey do it because she was caught having an ethically inappropriate secret meeting with Hillary's husband

but there's been no report she told Comey what to say

"She might not have followed best IT practice but she is not "crooked Hillary," she is a lifelong public servant who made a choice regarding information technology that turned out to go against current opinion of the cybersecurity community."

actually, she violated State department policies that he was well aware of and took no steps to protect her home server

you don't need a weatherman to know which way the wind blows and you don't need an IT expert to know home servers are easily hacked

"THE REPUBLICANS WANT TO TAKE AWAY BIRTH CONTROL BUT THAT'S ONLY GOING TO MAKE MORE DEMOCRATS"

you're lying

actually, I couldn't care less about Hillary

you guys brought it up

as far as the email goes, she clearly broke the law

Comey said so

and she got preferential treatment

at this point, I'd be in favor of Obama pardoning her, although it's sounds like Trump wants to move on too, so it's probably no big deal

"but here's the deal. It doesn't matter. Your guy won,"

hey look, you're lying again

I didn't favor him as President

I think he's petty, insecure and emotionally disturbed. I also think he's a big government believer and is committed to self-defeating trade policies. All bad.

On the other hand, he's better than Hillary and he's doing well so far. He's made good appointments and he may delegate largely. He's already reining in wasteful spending by defense contractors, examining how to bring back inner city neighborhoods, has corporations committing to not moving out, and has narrowed down a list of SCOTUS nominees who all believe in the constitution. We may wind up better off in 4 years.

Still, he's not "my guy".

"he will be President of the United States at the end of the week"

well, and the rest of the government is clearly not TTFish

"Tell us again how great he is."

do show when I've ever said that

oh, that's right

you're a liar

oh, for good or bad, he's pretty open and honest about who is

if he's corrupt, he'll be in your face about it

as I said you brought it up

"The truth is, all Americans know the country would have been a hundred times better off with a pro in the WH, instead of a vulgar, small-time gangster."

interesting then that they voted for him

"Tell us how America will be Great Again. Dying to hear."

Rep. John Lewis’s books sell out following Donald Trump’s attacks

"One side-effect of Rep. John Lewis's heated and very public spat with President-elect Donald Trump: ballooning interest in books written by the civil rights icon.

The Georgia Democrat's “Walking with the Wind: A Memoir of the Movement” was sold out on Amazon and was the site's No. 2 bestseller. Used copies of the hardcover edition were going for nearly $100.

Claiming the top spot on the list was another book by Lewis: “March,” a graphic-novel trilogy about the civil rights movement. The third installment won the National Book Award last year.

Amazon listed both books as “temporarily out of stock” on Sunday. Sales for both had ballooned more than 100,000 percent, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. (Disclosure: Jeffrey P. Bezos, the founder and CEO of Amazon, is also the owner of the The Washington Post.)

On Friday, Lewis said he didn't see Trump as a legitimate president and wouldn't be attending the inauguration for the first time in 30 years.

[Hillary Clinton made a rare appearance at ‘The Color Purple’ — and got three standing ovations]

Key to his decision, Lewis said, was Russia's alleged hacking of the presidential election, which the congressman argues helped Trump defeat Hillary Clinton.

Trump struck back on Twitter, saying Lewis needed to focus on his congressional district, “which is in horrible shape and falling apart (not to mention crime infested) rather than falsely complaining about the election results.”

Trump said Lewis is “All talk, talk, talk — no action or results.”...

Lewis was one of 600 marchers beaten by law enforcement officials on the march from Selma to the state's capitol, The Post's Krissah Thompson reported. Lewis's head was bloodied by a lawman's club.

The growing feud, just before Martin Luther King Day, widened a rift that's existed between Trump and the Congressional Black Caucus since the Republican questioned whether Obama was born in the United States and could legitimately be elected president. Obama produced a birth certificate in 2012.

On NBC'S “Meet the Press” Sunday, Lewis said he would not invite Trump to visit Selma, Ala., with him. Lewis has invited various politicians to the site of historic marches for voting rights, including Vice President-elect Mike Pence."

Meanwhile, there are plenty of unsold copies of your OrangeAsshole's "TRUMP: The Art of the Deal" book available on Amazon.com, used copies as cheap as $8.

Oh good, you've been lulled into believing that.

As a Marylander with a GOP governor who hates Trump and with you as a former Californian know you are lying through your teeth.

Apparently you have not heard the latest from your OrangeAsshole

“We’re going to have insurance for everybody,” Trump said. “There was a philosophy in some circles that if you can’t pay for it, you don’t get it. That’s not going to happen with us.”

People covered under the law “can expect to have great health care. It will be in a much simplified form. Much less expensive and much better.” …

“It’s not going to be their plan,” he said of people covered under the current law. “It’ll be another plan. But they’ll be beautifully covered. I don’t want single-payer. What I do want is to be able to take care of people,” he said Saturday.

Look what a guilty conscience grabbing all those pussies has given him.

He now states he wants to be able "to take care of people" with health insurance, even those who "can't pay for it."

Now we can all unite behind the OrangeAssole's plan for better healthcare for every US citizen, rich or poor, just like we can all feel safer behind his pro-Putin anti-ISIS campaign.

The alt-right eats its own: Neo-Nazi podcaster “Mike Enoch” quits after doxxers reveal his wife is Jewish:
Bad day for the Fourth Reich: Founder of popular alt-right blog The Right Stuff resigns after foes expose him

"...As the doxxing unfolded this weekend, Peinovich said nothing on Twitter or on his own site. Contacted via email by Salon, he denied being Mike Enoch but admitted to having been involved with TRS.

“I was involved with that site years ago, writing a few libertarian articles for them and using my PayPal for the exactly zero donations that the site ever got when it was still a libertarian blog,” he wrote.

Peinovich then claimed he had disassociated himself from TRS after it became overtly pro-Nazi: “I cut off ties when they went the direction they are going now, and that was 4 years ago. Honestly I have not thought much about them. As you can see from all public writings I am libertarian. My wife is Jewish. Do you really believe that I am this person?”

The TRS creator then asked Salon to help him deny that he was Enoch: “If you give any fucks at all then you could print that this is all bullshit. We are now being harassed not only by communists but by actual neo nazis.”

When asked if he would be willing to conduct a telephone interview, Peinovich replied, “Let me talk to my wife.” He never answered back.

As the evidence continued to mount linking him to the Enoch identity, Peinovich decided to fess up to his devoted Nazi fans in a post for TRS’ password-protected forums, part of which read:

"As I am sure you all know, I was doxxed and an ill advised attempt to fool the media about my identity led me to not talk to you people and to try to simply ride it out by being silent. This was irresponsible and a disservice to all of you. Yes my wife is who they say she is, I won’t even bother denying it, I won’t bother making excuses. If this makes you want to leave the movement, or to have nothing to do with TRS, then I understand.

Don’t lie for me. Don’t try to defend me to those attacking me. Don’t jeopardize your own reputation by defending things that you don’t think you can. I could try to explain my whole life for the last ten years to you but what difference at this point would it make. Life isn’t perfect.

The admission sent a shock wave throughout the alt-right. The reactions began pouring in. Some listeners of “The Daily Shoah” were crestfallen...

Within a few more hours, Peinovich’s partners announced that he was resigning from TRS entirely.

The 8channers, who pride themselves on their refusal to adopt pseudonyms (all site users post under the handle “Anonymous”), were ecstatic.

“(((TRS))) is over. Period,” gloated one of them.

Many began improvising some of the Holocaust memes that have been lobbed at Jewish journalists, instead featuring Peinovich and his wife. Both were depicted in gas chambers before the night was done.

Another, who prefers being called neo-Nazi instead of “alt-right,” hoped the entire movement would just disappear: “After the shitstorm is over the alt-right won’t be important enough to warrant a [discussion] thread,” he wrote. “In my opinion, they never did.”...

"Atlanta (CNN)President-elect Donald Trump harshly criticized Georgia Rep. John Lewis on Saturday, tweeting that his district was "in horrible shape and falling apart (and not to mention crime infested) ..."

Trump's tweets came in response to Lewis' comments to NBC News' Chuck Todd in a taped interview that aired on Sunday's "Meet the Press." The congressman said, "I don't see the President-elect as a legitimate president." He said he thought "Russians participated in helping get [Trump] elected." Lewis, a longtime civil rights activist who marched with the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr., also said he will not attend Trump's inauguration this week.

To be sure, Atlanta, which makes up most of Lewis' district, is a snapshot of two extremes. For some, it is a safe, thriving place to be wealthy and well-educated. For others, there is entrenched poverty, and some of the lowest upward economic mobility in the nation.

Since 1986, Lewis has represented Georgia's 5th Congressional District, which is home to almost 750,000 people. The district serves as headquarters for several Fortune 500 companies, including Coca-Cola and Delta Air Lines. Atlanta is also home to the world's busiest airport, which is undergoing a $6 billion expansion, one of the world's largest aquariums, and, for transparency, CNN.
Education, health services, hospitality, trade and construction were just some of the sectors that saw job growth that exceeded the national average from November 2015-November 2016, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics.

Five billionaires among those listed on Forbes Magazine's 2016 ranking of the world's wealthiest people resided in Buckhead, one of Atlanta's wealthier neighborhoods, lined with mansions and high-end retail shops. However, Lewis' district also includes some of the poorest parts of Atlanta, like Forest Park, where the median income is $31,228, and 34% of all residents live below the poverty line, according to census data from 2015.

Atlanta's median household income in 2015, the most recent data available from the US Census Bureau, was $47,527. The median household income in 2010 was $45,171.

Donald Trump was not always so dismissive of Atlanta. Nearly 10 years ago, when Atlanta's criminal offenses were around 27% higher than now, Trump praised Georgia's capital. "Atlanta's just ... they've done a great job, an amazing job," Trump said after he announced plans to build a two-tower, luxury high-rise in Atlanta. "And we're just happy to be here." Trump Towers never came to be, however, and went into foreclosure after the 2008 recession.

Since that time, Atlanta's real estate market has rebounded. "Metropolitan Atlanta is certainly considered right now to be a very active market," said Adam DeSanctis, an economic issues research manager with the National Association of Realtors.

Lewis' 5th District has seen highs and lows, but it is not near the dilapidation that Trump suggests. Therefore, we rate Trump's remarks that it is "in horrible shape and falling apart" as FALSE."...

LYING ABOUT JOHN LEWIS' CONGRESSIONAL DISTRICT WILL NOT MAKE AMERIKA GREAT AGAIN, DONNIE BOY, BUT IT DOES ILLUSTRATE WHAT A LYING SACK OF SCUM YOU ARE.

UNTIL WE INVESTIGATE AND GET TO THE TRUTH ABOUT RUSSIA'S INTERFERENCE IN THIS ELECTION, WE CAN NEVER TRUST THE OUTCOME.

Where was Donald Trump when John Lewis was fighting for civil rights? Let’s compare.

"...We can start in 1960, when Trump was 14 and Lewis was 20. They both clearly showed their leadership potential early.

At New York Military Academy in Cornwall, N.Y., Donald Trump won a “neatness and order medal.”

That same year, John Lewis became one of the original 13 Freedom Riders, defying laws that prohibited blacks and whites from sitting next to each other on public transportation.

Three years later in 1963, man-of-action Trump led his private school’s white-gloved drill team in the Columbus Day parade in New York. But he was also removed from that drill team command, classmates said, because he hazed younger students.

That same year, Lewis helped organize the March on Washington for Jobs and Freedom and spoke alongside the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial.

In 1965, Trump got his second Vietnam draft deferment as a Fordham University student.

In 1965, on a day that became known as Bloody Sunday, Lewis helped lead 600 marchers across the Edmund Pettus Bridge in Selma, Ala. When the marchers stopped to pray, they were tear-gassed and beaten by troopers. Lewis’s skull was fractured.

In 1973, Trump’s actions got him sued by the Department of Justice. He was managing his dad’s properties and wouldn’t rent apartments to African Americans. The Trumps eventually settled the lawsuit without any admission of wrongdoing.

That same year, John Lewis was running the Voter Education Project, which pushed to register minority voters across the country.

Trump owned the ’80s, right? His actions that decade?

In 1981, Trump bought a 14-story building facing New York City’s Central Park and began a campaign to drive out the rent-stabilized tenants so he could begin gutting and renovating the building. According to lawsuits, Trump cut heat and water to the remaining tenants.

In 1981, John Lewis was elected to the Atlanta City Council.

In 1987, Trump’s book, “The Art of the Deal,” became a bestseller. Action? He didn’t even write it; talk about talk talk talk. And his ghostwriter, Tony Schwartz, now regrets the picture he painted of Trump in that book.

In 1987, Lewis was elected to Congress.

I don’t think Trump knows enough about America or American history to have deliberately targeted one of our country’s civil rights heroes in his tweet storm.

You can see that in his messages: “Congressman John Lewis should spend more time on fixing and helping his district, which is in horrible shape and falling apart (not to mention crime-infested).” Much of Lewis’s district is affluent. But Trump demonstrated again that he equates black people with crime.

So there was hope last week when it was announced that he was going to visit the National Museum of African American History and Culture on Martin Luther King Day. It looked as though he may have been willing to fill in some of the gaps in the American story he’s been missing, including the part Lewis played in the triumphs of the civil rights movement.

But then Trump canceled the visit. Turns out it was all talk, talk, talk.

Remember when Donald Trump bragged about being able to grope women and Trumpeters tried to brush it off as “locker room talk?” And how the rest of us worried that having such a man as our president would embolden other creeps to follow his lead? Well those fears have officially been realized.

Police arrested a 71-year-old GOP official in Greenwich, Conn., for literally grabbing a woman by the p***y. According to Greenwich Time, Christopher von Keyserling, member of the Representative Town Meeting, told a town worker, “I love this new world, I no longer have to be politically correct,” before reaching from behind her and pinching her genitals. He also said she was “nothing but a bloodsucking, lazy union employee.”

Welcome to the new world, where creepy old Republicans feel free to grab whoever they want wherever they want because that’s what the president does.

Local police charged Trump’s apprentice with fourth-degree sexual assault; he’s since posted $2,500 bond and is scheduled for court on January 25.

“It’s a sad situation,” von Keyserling told Greenwich Time before deferring to his attorney, Phil Russell, who called the assault “jocular.”

“There was a playful gesture,” he said, “in front of witnesses. It was too trivial to be considered anything of significance. To call it sexual assault is not based in reality.”

Obviously, the 57-year-old alleged victim didn’t find the incident trivial, and I don’t blame her. Woman are groped and grabbed every day, but just because those assaults are common doesn’t make them insignificant. The reality is that touching a person in an unwanted and sexual way is sexual assault. What is still confusing about that?

According to the police report, the assault was not a playful gesture or a jocular situation. Allegedly, von Keyserling and the female employee were talking briefly about politics when the conversation turned into a disagreement. The woman walked away and went into her office and von Keyserling followed.

When the woman tried to leave with her coworker so she wouldn’t be alone with the von Keyserling, he groped her as she walked past. When she threatened to punch him if he ever did that again, he said “it would be your word against mine and nobody will believe you.”

The victim was hesitant to come forward and didn’t want to file a criminal complaint, but changed her mind when she heard that von Keyserling had behaved similarly to other employees.

Von Keyserling’s attorney believes his client’s behavior was all in good fun, but here’s what we need to remember: No matter what the president-elect says, grabbing a woman’s vagina without consent is assault. It’s not jocular or locker room talk. It’s assault.

"Remember when Donald Trump bragged about being able to grope women and Trumpeters tried to brush it off as “locker room talk?”"

no, I remember when Clinton and her foreign backers came up with an old tape of him bragging that women don't object to him doing that and then he himself called it “locker room talk"

he also said he "wasn't proud of it"

but he didn't do this bragging in public, but in a private conversation

it may shock women, and gays, to know there untold millions of men across America who have said this or other crass “locker room talk"

welcome to reality

yeah, they're kind of pathetic but the common isn't really shocking

"And how the rest of us worried that having such a man as our president would embolden other creeps to follow his lead?"

well, if that's your concern, you probably should blame Hillary and her foreign backers, who publicized the private comment in a desperate ploy to distract from Hillary's lack of presidential qualifications

if no one had heard of this private comment, no one would take this lead

"Well those fears have officially been realized."

really?

"Police arrested a 71-year-old GOP official in Greenwich, Conn., for literally grabbing a woman in her genitals. According to Greenwich Time, Christopher von Keyserling, member of the Representative Town Meeting, told a town worker, “I love this new world, I no longer have to be politically correct,” before reaching from behind her and pinching her genitals."

and who heard him say that? they were in private

"He also said she was “nothing but a bloodsucking, lazy union employee.”"

That would describe Hillary. you sure he wasn't talking about her?

"Welcome to the new world, where creepy old Republicans feel free to grab whoever they want wherever they want"

well, this guy was arrested, so how is that "being free"?

"because that’s what the president does"

he once said women would let him do it

bragging isn't doing

and when you brag about something, it isn't the same as doing

he was bragging that women consent to it, which was clearly not the case here

"According to the police report, the assault was not a playful gesture or a jocular situation. Allegedly, von Keyserling and the female employee were talking briefly about politics when the conversation turned into a disagreement."

oh, so when he allegedly said “I love this new world, I no longer have to be politically correct,”, it was probably in the context of a political argument, not justifying this minor assault

this kind of little disingenuousness is a perfect example of why no one trusts anything the media says, which is a major factor is why this emotionally disturbed individual will become President today

the vote wasn't anti-Hillary as much as anti-media-liberal-establishment

"The woman walked away and went into her office and von Keyserling followed.

When the woman tried to leave with her coworker so she wouldn’t be alone with the von Keyserling, he groped her as she walked past. When she threatened to punch him if he ever did that again, he said “it would be your word against mine and nobody will believe you.”"

this story is breaking down now

that comment would apply if she threatened to call the police, not if she threatened to punch him

sounds like this was made up

"The victim was hesitant to come forward and didn’t want to file a criminal complaint, but changed her mind when she heard that von Keyserling had behaved similarly to other employees."

sounds like the story's breaking down further, this probably won't hold up in court

"Von Keyserling’s attorney believes his client’s behavior was all in good fun, but here’s what we need to remember: No matter what the president-elect says, grabbing a woman’s vagina without consent is assault. It’s not jocular or locker room talk. It’s assault."

yes, and when it happens, don't call the police

Counter-Sting Catches James O’Keefe Network Attempting To Sow Chaos At Trump’s Inauguration
The stinger gets stung.

"UPDATE: A longer video of the interaction between Project Veritas operative Allison Maass and Ryan Clayton of Americans Take Action was posted online Tuesday. In it, Clayton confirms with Maass that her goal is indeed to incite a riot at the inauguration. “What you’re asking for, let’s bullet point it,” Clayton says, referring to the donor Maass claims to be representing. “He says, I’ll give you $100,000 to shut down a bridge, incite a riot and make sure we hack the media narrative on the inauguration.”

Maass says he has it right. “You said you could do stuff like that. He says he likes it. Would you actually do it?”

Earlier:

WASHINGTON ― A left-wing political group released a new video Monday of a counter-sting that has uncovered evidence of right-wing activists trying to sow chaos at Donald Trump’s inaugural ceremony, an effort to portray critics of Trump who march against him as violent fringe figures.

The counter-sting, carried out by The Undercurrent and Americans Take Action, a project of a previous target of provocateur James O’Keefe, managed to surreptitiously record elements of O’Keefe’s network offering huge sums of money to progressive activists if they would disrupt the ceremony and “put a stop to the inauguration” and the related proceedings to such a degree that donors to the clandestine effort would “turn on a TV and maybe not even see Trump.” To have riots blot out coverage of Trump, the donor offered “unlimited resources,” including to shut down bridges into D.C.

The Undercurrent, led by executive producer Lauren Windsor, is sponsored by American Family Voices, which was among a constellation of groups infiltrated by O’Keefe’s Project Veritas during the presidential campaign, an effort to link Democrats with voter fraud.

Windsor told HuffPost that for now, the group is only releasing an edited version of the video. One of the conservative operatives recorded on it by The Undercurrent was Allison Maass, who previously was caught attempting to infiltrate the Senate campaign of Russ Feingold in Wisconsin, as well as the presidential campaign of Hillary Clinton. Maass was also a lead infiltrator during the voter fraud campaign...."

Analysis: Trump's Cabinet dubbed 'Goldman, generals and gazillionaires'

"WASHINGTON — Donald Trump ran for the White House as an outsider and a pragmatist. But he's quickly putting together an administration that will be the most fiercely conservative of any in decades....

...So far, Trump's choices — including top jobs for a trio of veterans of Goldman Sachs, a firm he blasted at campaign rallies — haven't reflected the populist impulses that fueled his appeal to some white working-class voters or his vow to "drain the swamp" in Washington of donors and other insiders...

...Trump's stance on Russia, including his call for more cooperation with Putin, puts him at odds with many of the Republicans allied with him on other fronts. Some of the top appointments he has made or is considering are aligned with his views. Flynn sat next to Putin last year during a paid appearance in Moscow for Russia Today, a TV network financed by the Kremlin. Tillerson, who has negotiated business deals with Putin for years, was awarded Russia's Order of Friendship in 2013.

Trump disputed the conclusion in an unpublished CIA report that Russia tried to intervene in the election to boost his prospects. "I think it's ridiculous," he said. "I don't believe it."

Senate Armed Services chairman John McCain (R-Ariz.) disagreed. "It's clear the Russians interfered," he said on CBS' Face the Nation. He called for a select congressional committee to investigate Russia's efforts and expressed concern about Tillerson's ties to Moscow. "It's a matter of concern to me that he has such a close personal relationship with Vladimir Putin, and obviously they've done enormous deals together," McCain said. "That would color his approach to Vladimir Putin and the Russian threat."..."

And the Post: After ethics review, Senate postpones committee vote for Betsy DeVos

We tried to go to the parade, but couldn't get over to Pennsylvania... tried to cross at 4th, police rerouted us to 7th and then again to 12th. Lots of families with middle schoolers. The reason we couldn't get over to Pennsylvania (we found at later) was because of the protestors, who were violent and breaking things. The cops were trying to route the Trump supporters away from the protestors to keep people from getting hurt.

That, I guess, is par for the course. So rude. I don't know how you possibly defend this behavior. Can you imagine how the media would react if republicans unhappy about the election had tried to disrupt Obama's inauguration ? They would be apoplectic. But from Democrats this sort of violent behavior has come to be expected.

My friend and I were discussing how massive the turnout must have been for Trump, so massive that even the Democrats standard voter fraud couldn't sway it.

the people rose up and said enough !

We have had it.

Thank God we dodged that bullet.

And God Bless President Trump. He has his work cut out for him to clean up the mess Obama has left on all fronts.

Wow, good point Theresa, those liberals are so violent. Why can't they learn to be civil like that nice Don Trump? And he's so truthful, not like those liberals at all, who are always lying.

Too bad yesterday's marchers dwarfed Saturday's inauguration crowd.

"The reason we couldn't get over to Pennsylvania (we found at later) was because of the protestors, who were violent and breaking things."

So you saw no violence or breaking things by protesters when you were there in person trying to cross Pennsylvania Avenue but "found out about it later."

You chose to believe what you "found out about it later" instead of what you saw and didn't see with your own eyes.

Thank you for your clear demonstration of the willful denial of facts right in front of your on eyes of Trump bubble dwellers.

Meanwhile I was very happy to be one of the Women lead unprecedented worldwide mass protests against Trump.

It was a peaceful and huge group of diverse people loving and supporting each other's equal human rights.

Sorry you chose to miss it.

"Remember when Donald Trump bragged about being able to grope women and Trumpeters tried to brush it off as “locker room talk?”"

no, I remember when Clinton and her foreign backers came up with an old tape of him bragging that women don't object to him doing that and then he himself called it “locker room talk"

he also said he "wasn't proud of it"

but he didn't do this bragging in public, but in a private conversation"

And how private was it when he publicly said on The View after being asked what he'd do if Playboy put his daughter Ivanka on the cover of its magazine:

“I don’t think Ivanka would do that [pose for nude photographs] inside the magazine,” Trump says, speaking for his daughter. “Although she does have a very nice figure. I’ve said that if Ivanka weren’t my daughter, perhaps, I would be dating her.”

And how private was this event?

At 69, he can still carry on like the teen who was yanked out of prep school and delivered to Col. Dobias, the take-no-shit instructor at the military academy. After I met Ivanka and praised her to her father, he said, “Yeah, she’s really something, and what a beauty, that one. If I weren’t happily married and, ya know, her father . . . ”

And how private was this conversation caught on video?

In newly uncovered video from Entertainment Tonight, they were interviewing the tycoon in 1992 around Christmastime when he asks the 10-year-old “are you going up the elevator?” and her tiny voice replies “yeah.” Then Donald’s truly misogynistic colors go flying as he remarks,”“I am going to be dating her in 10 years. Can you believe it?”

I'd say he's quite public about his obsession with inappropriately young women, including his own daughter.

What do you suppose his progressively younger wives demonstrate about him:

Wife #1 - Ivana Marie Zelnickova Trump DOB February 20, 1949.

Wife #2 - Marla Ann Maples Trump DOB October 27, 1963.

Wife #3 - Melanija Knavs, Germanized to Melania Knauss Trump DOB April 26, 1970.

Note: Ivanka Marie Trump DOB Oct. 30, 1981

Facts are facts.

Having black skin or wearing a hajib and voting is not fraud.

Massive turnout?

Nope!

The Final, Final, Final Results for the Presidential Popular Vote Are In

"The final shoe to drop that really matters to the outcome of the 2016 presidential election fell yesterday as the Electoral College lifted Donald Trump to the White House, ending quite possibly the most unlikely winning bid for the office ever. Today we have the denouement: the final certified popular vote returns from the 50 states and the District of Columbia.

Hillary Clinton won the popular vote by 2,864,974, which is 2.1 percent of the total vote. That is the second-largest margin (by percentage) by which anyone who lost the electoral vote has won the popular vote since the 1824 election, which was actually resolved by the U.S. House. The still-all-time champion among votes decided by the Electoral College remains the 1876 contest (wherein the “loser,” Samuel Tilden, actually won the popular vote by 3 percent), but that’s a misleading precedent since a bipartisan commission adjudicated disputed electoral votes and the whole thing was the subject of a vast bargain which, among other things, ended congressional Reconstruction of the South. Clinton’s margin significantly exceeds that of the most recent victim of the Electoral College, Al Gore in 2000, who won the popular vote by a mere 543,816. Whatever indirect assistance Trump may have received from a certain country where vodka is very popular, he did not need judicial intervention to prevail, the way George W. Bush did.

In the end, Trump won by taking three key battleground states (Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin) by a combined margin of 77,744 votes. That, my friends, is crazy close in an election where more than 136 million votes were cast: just over one-twentieth of one percent of the vote. And that is why the debate over the reasons for the electoral-vote outcome may never end: It’s the kind of swing-state margin that could have been caused by any of the big things we have all been talking about, such as James Comey’s reminders of the email “scandal,” strategic leaks from Russian hacks, or a strategic error by the Clinton campaign about where its resources were committed. But it’s also small enough to be caused by tiny and remote things, like tactical decisions on the very last day, the weather, election-law decisions made years ago, or the tides of the moon. The calendar could also have been a factor: As the University of Pennsylvania’s Dan Hopkins points out, the fact that the 2016 election happened to be held on the latest possible date may have given Trump the opportunity to nail down just enough late-deciding votes.

We will never really know why Donald Trump appeared to be the luckiest and Hillary Clinton the unluckiest candidate in history in terms of the distribution of votes. But we will live with the consequences for far longer than even the longest postmortem."
